Set within a lush landscape on the western coast of Costa Rica, this private residence is designed for a dual purpose; as a place for privacy and as a place for entertaining. The home consists of separate pavilions connected by a continuous covered porch. Each pavilion offers unique views to the oceanfront and cultivated landscape. 

At the center is a shaded courtyard with a fountain and garden of citrus trees. Thick walls of rammed earth keep interior spaces cool from an oppressive midday sun, while curved roofs direct warm air to naturally exhaust above.
